In this training, I’m going to show you how to disable right click on images so you can protect your original pictures on your websites, blogs, etc.

Let’s begin!

Disable Right Click – The Process:
Simply place the code anywhere in the body of your content(probably best at the top so you can find it easily) and publish your page.

You will find that any image on that particular page will no longer allow the user to “right click” thereby eliminating the ability to save those images directly to their computer.

*Right clicking will still function properly on the rest of the page, just not on the images.

Further Image Security…
Ok, so now that you have removed the right click function, you have taken the first step towards securing your original images from would be thieves.

This is not the only step that you need for security however, and we’re just going to give you one more step which will go a long way to help keep your images protected.

While you’re in your code editor, preferably right under the ‘disable right click’ code that you placed earlier, drop this piece of code in there as well:

What this will do is it will prevent the would be image jackers from left-clicking and dragging the image from your page on to their desktop.

Instead, this simple piece of code will overlay a transparent square image on top of each of the images that are on that particular page so when the thief tries to drag the image, they will get the transparent image instead.

The part of the code that contains the image is this file:

You can literally replace this with any image file that you wish and the overlay process will work exactly the same.

Total Image Protection
These 2 simple measures will go a very long way for providing security on your images but if you are very serious about protecting your content and want to go the whole way towards complete security, there are further steps that you will need to take…
