Katrina Cain - Lucky

Katrina Cain is an Austin based Singer/Songwriter who happened to be playing a show in the Houston area when she agreed to stop by and play a few songs. You may recognize her from season 15 of The Voice where she was a standout contestant.

As is often the case in flood-prone Houston, we got some rain during this recording. I had just started moving some equipment out into the open air when the rain started. So we ended up moving back under the porch. If you look carefully at the headstock of Katrina's guitar you can see the remnants of rain.

Lucky was the second song of Katrina's we recorded that day. If you like what you hear, stay tuned for another one somewhere down the road!
