Ligature Strangulation / Asphyxia / Forensic Medicine/ Part-4

What is Strangulation?
it is that form of Asphyxia in which neck is compressed by a ligature, hand or any other material without sunpending the body.

mainly, it is of two types-
1. Ligature Strangulation (if ligature material is used to compress the neck of the victim)

2. manual Strangulation (if human hands are used to compress the neck) also known as throttling.

Other form of ligature Strangulations are:-
1. mugging
2. Bandola
3. Garotting
