The rough bump is a popular approach on many holes since it reduces the secondary wind effect massively. However (in contrary to what many players seem to believe) rough bumps do not eliminate the secondary wind effect completely. It is still there, just not as noticeable on most holes. On rough bumps with a level field we would most likely neglect the secondary effect and still succeed. But especially on fairway/greens with slopes to the side, wind pushes have to be taken into account, because the displayed curved ball guide will not match the actual roll-out. Dependent on the wind it will be extended, compressed or pushed to the side.

So how do we compensate for that? A simple overadjustment is in this case not the preferred method. In order to keep the consistency of a rough bump we wanna bounce on our desired landing spot and therefore adjust rings for the first bounce as precisely as possible. So what I’d recommend to do is: visualize the true roll out and offset by feel.

A good example for a rough bump which requires offset is imho Maple Bay 4b. Since i have this one pretty much „dialed in“ it became one of my favorite holes on t10 and also the one with my highest outright win rate (without going to shootout) and therefore did help me big time on my way to max T10. Literally 99.9% of my opponents played this one via right side and almost never succeeded with the short iron approach. Another approach which is not mentioned in the video would be Thorn full backspin shot with direct bounce on the green, but mastering that one in all wind angles is imho tougher than a rough bump.
