Enjoy the music!

After purchasing an Amiga 1200, I started looking for a tracker with more than the standard 4 channels. I went to a shop specializing in Amiga computers and bought a copy of OctaMED Soundstudio v1.0 on CD. I liked this tracker and even made several 8-channel tracks (unfortunately, they haven't survived). I worked with it for six months until I found Symphonie Pro, but I continued using the CD for several more years because it had a good selection of 8-bit samples.
Now, 28 years later, I decided to see what else was on the CD and stumbled upon the indescribably beautiful music by Orpheus (Samuel L. Gilbert) from Australia. Putting everything else aside, I knew I had to share this sonic wonder with you! There were eight of his tracks on the CD, and I also searched online and found three more by the same artist. So, I present to you a magnificent compilation of 11 tracks in the styles of house, trance, and ambient.
While preparing to record the video, I discovered that not all the tracks played correctly in my version of the program. Some samples sounded distorted, and one track only worked in OctaMED4, so I had to download and use three different versions of OctaMED for the video. The author was experimenting with 9-bit samples, which may have been the reason for the incompatibility.

Initially, I wanted to use 8-bit audio from an emulator with a 28375Hz sampling rate, but I noticed that in the track annotations, Orpheus recommended listening to his music in the 14-bit DeliTracker player for better quality. In the end, I decided to use audio converted with the OpenMPT player for the video, to give this wonderful music the best possible sound, just as the author intended. I also did some mastering on the final audio.

All tracks were created in 1995.
