Henley-on-Thames is a charming Oxfordshire town. The bridge over the river, built in 1786, is a popular landmark. Today Henley is probably most famous for its international rowing regatta, which attracts top international crews from around the globe.

Also popular is the River & Rowing Museum. The Museum has three main galleries devoted to the River Thames, the international sport of rowing, and the town of Henley. Raised on columns above “water meadows” beside the Thames and built of exposed concrete and glass with a steel roof, clad in green oak, the Museum has won numerous awards for its innovative architectural design.
