Tesla Model Y - Ceramic Coat - Stupid Easy, Stupid To Pay A Pro - DIY For The Win!!!

Protecting your Tesla Model Y is a critical step in making the car look as good as possible for as long as possible. Tesla is not known for delivering cars with excellent paint finish, so it increases the need for adding as much protection as you can.

Ceramic coats are expensive to have professionally done. There is a lot of labor involved, and many shops charge you that "Tesla Tax" for getting your Tesla ceramic coated. That said, there are DIY options available at a significantly better price.

Installation is straight forward and easy enough to do. The most critical step is the initial clean. Getting all the contaminants out of the paint is vital to the successful installation of a sealant like a ceramic coat.

Be sure to make sure your car does not need to be clay barred before installing the ceramic coat. If you do need to clay bar the car, I used the Mothers California Gold Clay Bar Kit. This kit comes with everything you need. Alternatively, you can go with the Mothers Speed Clay kit for a simpler process.

This DIY kit makes installing a ceramic coat on your Tesla simple and comes with everything you need. Most DIY kits just come with the chemicals, and most only come with a base coat. This kit comes with it all, the base coat, top coat, and the quick spray sealant for maintenance over time.
