STEAMPUNK HOTCHKISS 1879 IN 22LR: ALMOST FINISHED

Well, did some cleaning, blueing.
Made the stock butt, pistol grip. My motorcycle building experience and the parts exposure have come handy.

Changed to locking pins instead of the bolts. Riveted the mag tip rest in receiver.

I still have a bit rough feeding and I need to improve it,s reliability. Fine tune.
But I,m happy with the extraction and I,m pretty sure the ignition would be very good as the striker is snappy.

Used a thin walled tube 7/16 to mimic the 16 “ barrel just to see the silhouette of the rifle and to be able to pack and unpack it.
I like the way it looks.

My rifle weights 2.8 lb, less than Chiappa little badger TDX- 2.9 lb and that one is a single shot.
The lightest take down rifle is The Pack-Rifle, ~1 lb, also single shot

Overall I used the same technology of upper and lower as my prior builds, I love the convenience of that modular and versatile arrangement.
