愛でる家｜住み慣れた住まいをより良くより快適に

奈良市北部。築約40年の戸建て住宅リノベーションです。お施主様は60代のご夫婦と息子さん。長年愛着を持って住んでこられた数奇屋風の住宅は随所に粋な意匠が見られるものの、深い庇のために室内は南側でも薄暗く、押入れや収納が少ないために家の大半が物置と化している状態でした。耐震補強と断熱工事を行い、使われていなかった天井裏を活用して開放感のある居間をつくり、和室には炉を切り水屋を設けて茶室の設えに変更、クローゼットやパントリー、書棚や収納家具など用途別に十分な容量の収納を確保し、元々の意匠を生かしつつ将来に渡って快適に暮らすことが出来、お施主様のご趣味の美術や骨董、そして家や庭を存分に愛でることが出来る住まいになりました。


Mederu House

This is a renovation of house built in about 40 years ago in the northern part of Nara city in Japan. The clients are couple in their 60s and their son. They liked this house very much and lived for many years, but the interior was dark even in the day, and the things were overflowing because there were few storage rooms. We opened the attic, changed to a bright kitchen and living room, changed the Japanese room according to the rules of the tea ceremony, and made a large storage such as closet, pantry, bookshelf etc. We also improved seismic performance and thermal insulation performance. This house has been changed to a place where the clients can live comfortably over the future and they can love art , antiques, garden, and the house to their heart's content.
