Every ensemble has a beginning - this is the beginning of the Great Oak Drumline in the Winter of 200group 4. As the Percussion Caption Pete Lucero summarized "We want to get the group started on the right foot - we want them "movin' and groovin."

The ensemble features freshman and sophomores and many of whom were playing on a team for the first time.
