Adrienne “Agie” Van Doren, age 64 years, of Neshanic Station, NJ, passed peacefully at home on Thursday September 19, 2024.

Agie was born in Iselin, NJ, to the late beloved parents, Joseph and Adrienne Iskra and raised in Somerset, NJ. She was a 1978 graduate of Franklin High School, then went on to the Beauty Academy, where she obtained a license in beauty and cosmetology. The family so enjoyed getting their hair cut and makeup tips over the years. Agie fell in love with Robert and had 41 years of marriage.

Her life centered around family friends, beauty, and fashion. She loved exploring flea markets, thrift stores, estate sales, in search of eccentric vintage and flashy jewelry pieces. Agie had an adventurous spirit traveling with her husband out West visiting National State parks especially Yellowstone.

They enjoyed rides out to the Delaware Water Gap and Stokes Forest. Just being outdoors in nature taking many photographs and sharing those with family and friends. She was a joker, silly, flashy, flirty, and always carried herself with a sense of unique fashion. Agie loved music and going to concerts with her sisters. She was a fan fav of General Hospital 40+ years. She loved to visit Seaside with her husband, and they enjoyed the famous Marucas pizza pie in addition to The Polar Cub in Whitehouse Station, which was a favorite for a good old fashioned root beer float.

Agie had a compassionate strong-willed spirit that carried her over 30 years fighting her diseases. As she began to lose the ability to walk, she still went places in her wheelchair to enjoy the life she still had a passion for.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a brother, Joseph Iskra, Jr.

She sadly leaves behind her wonderful husband, Robert who loved and cared for her unconditionally. He will continue to be out in the woods capturing her spirit in the birds, animals, and flowers of this beautiful world.

Additionally, she is survived by her sisters, Donna Marie Godleski (Anthony) and Diane Peppe (Michael); brother, Daniel Iskra (Roberta), brother-in-law, John Van Doren (Susan); nieces, Desiree Godleski, Nicole Iskra and Kailea Iskra; nephews, Daniel Iskra Jr. (Kelly) and Joseph Iskra Jr., great nieces, Avery and Addison Iskra; many beloved friends and relatives; and her beautiful cats, Sebastian and Leah.
