Three And A Half Shakti Peeth - Mahalaxmi (Ambabai) Temple - Kolhapur | New Palace | Kolhapur Misal

Mahalaxmi Temple in Kolhapur is one of the 18 Maha Shakti Peethas according to Skanda Puran and one of 52 Shakti Peethas according to various Puranas. It is also believed that Goddess Sati's three eyes fell in Kolhapur. 🚩🙏🏻
This is the temple where sun rays falls directly on the idol, once a year.The first day, ray falls on the feet, on second day, on the middle portion of the deity and on the third day on the face.

After darshan, we head towards New Palace 🚩 - Palace of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj in Kolhapur. Palace is converted to Museum which is opened for public. 🕒Timing of new Palace Kolhapur is 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

We also tried Jhanjhanaat MIsal Pav in Kolhapur. For me Pune one is better 🤤😋
