Hung Gar Butterfly Palm Applications

The butterfly palms are very effective for pushing opponents away. It works in combination with the soft bridge, to divert the opponent's attack to the side. It's one of the examples of Hung Gar moves that are used with the soft bridge, in a hard style of Kung Fu.

We have a systematic way of training to contact the opponent's attack, starting with bridge hands drills. With sound basics, one can practice the applications of the technique. It is strongly recommended for the student to practice on the wooden dummy as well as the punching bag, to increase speed and power.
