Gloomless Cobless Setup | Fog Endless

Описание к видео Gloomless Cobless Setup | Fog Endless

Despite being such a simple premise, this setup is so difficult. Often people think this is roughly as difficult as a sideless cobless setup but it is NOT. This took me like 2 hours compared to like 15 minutes with fe 62 sideless cobless.

Also if you're planning to play this, don't use imitator flower pots and starfruits. It's not just harder but it's also really inconsistent. I had to replace the imitator starfruit on 4-5 because of an out of control dolphin zombie and there was literally nothing I could do about it.

There are 2 reasons why this is so difficult:

1. The card sequence is really really precise.
Crescebdo and 火风之背影 optimized the card sequence so the card sequence is better at suppressing jacks but it is still really really difficult. In the video, you can see that I am placing the instants instantly after they recharge because jacks can explode any second. In the second half, the timings are also really weird and I completely fucked it but I got lucky and no jacks blew up.

2. The pumpkin pressure is wild.
Diggers and dolphins make this setup fall apart. Using starfruits like in the setup to kill diggers is actually way worse than just using 2 glooms:    • Ultra Cobless Setup | Day Endless
Even just a couple diggers in the same row can make a completely unbroken pumpkin break in less than 15 seconds. The reason why the rear of the setup is only starfruits is because they are meant to be replaceable if digger zombies eat them. I am a masochist so I ignored that and made the starfruits imitator w/ flower pots. Because of that, the setup I played is even more difficult than the original even though they might look the same. Dolphins also suck but they aren't nearly as bad as diggers.

Ok here's some technical jargon if you're planning to learn this:

First half: Card 3 Ice - Doom | Imitator Doom | Cherry - Jala - Squash; 18:16:16
Second half: Card 3 Doom | Ice - Imitator Doom | Cherry - Jala - Squash 15:19:16

For the first half of the sequence, it is optimal to freeze the wave as early as possible to freeze the diggers to chill down on the pumpkin pressure. The main issue with this is that imitator dooms aren't protected from jacks and snorkels as well. You have to plan out where you place them very precisely.

Crater sequence for imitator doom: W2: 3-9/4-9
W5: 3-9/4-9
W8: 3-8 w/ pumpkin (unless there are no snorkels like in the video)
W10: 5-7
W13: 3-7
For waves 2 and 5, the imitator dooms are placed after snorkels have left column 9 and they are way out of a jack's explosion radius so they are 100% safe. For waves 2 and 5 there are no pool zombies because they don't spawn in for the first 5 waves which is why we place the dooms there as early as possible.
For wave 8, the imitator doom is risked being eaten by snorkels or pool zombies so you sometimes have to place a pumpkin (I didn't in the video because there were no threats)
For wave 10, you have to place the imitator doom as late as humanly possible so it doesn't get crushed by the zomboni. The latest possible time is 7.34 seconds after the wave spawns in.
For wave 13, the doom is protected from snorkels because they are slowed down by ice.

For the second half of the sequence, you are required to protect the imitator dooms with ice which does not help the pumpkin pressure but at least you don't have to sweat your balls off trying to protect the dooms. The instant timings are weird in the second half and I did not do them well at all lmao.

Threats:
Jack: All doom-shrooms are outside of a jack's explosion radius but there still are some issues;
In the second half, jacks have around a half second of leeway to blow up because the earliest you can ice is 13.58 seconds and jacks can blow up after 13.22 seconds. Very rare though
If jacks are slowed down late, they will escape the radius of the doom-shroom if planted on column 9. This actually kept happening when I was playing and it was really annoying.
It can sometimes be impossible to suppress jacks on extremely fast tempos if the waves spawn in too fast.
Squashes are inconsistent when it comes to killing jacks. You time the squash during the jack's safe period but they don't always target the jack. If there is a giga to the left of the squash, it often targets that instead.

Giga: This setup has really inconsistent dps. It roughly has 1 dps on all rows and in the second half it's a really weak 2 dps. On wave 9 it can require a lot of stalling because of the lack of dps which brings your sun low.

Bungee: All plants are safe if iced (unless some starfruits are missing due to gigas and it chooses the exact wrong plant). On wave 20 however, you don't have ice recharged so you have to use a doom-shroom to kill the bungees. If a bungee steals 5-4 on that wave, you use a jalapeno and any other possible space it could steal is just a replaceable starfruit.
