What is a VA and how can they help?
VA is a remote worker usually from countries like Philippines, India and etc
The advantage of hiring VA from these countries is the ability to have a low cost worker (Its a win win as for them the salary is great and for us too)
the average hourly rate of a VA from those country is 2$ per hour
VA can help you with any process, from finding and listing products to fulfil orders and handle customer service

When do I know I am ready to hire VA?

There can be 2 situations when the right time to hire a VA is

1. When you already built a steady income and you feel that you need help to scale your business, so you can hire VA to help you grow

2. If you want to build a Dropshipping business but you don't have the time your self to do all the tasks, then you can invest into hiring VA to help you build your business

What to consider when hiring an eBay Assistant

Personally I believe in a healthy eco system and not going into debt. so my recommendation to you is first build a steady stream of income, learn the business and make profit out of it and then use the profit to scale your business.
However if you have the budget but you don't have the time that hiring and training VA to help with the building process is an option as well just take in mind the financial risk you take when you do such investment.

Upwork.com is an international platform for remote workers, you can find there almost every type of skill

Dropshipping Facebook group such as the Zikanalytics group, many of the experience VAs already part of our community with a single post you can get contacted by many VAs which already have a lot of experience

How to hire a VA

Step 1 - Post a job post into one of the platform mentioned above and make sure to explain your job in detail.

Tip: Always make sure your VA has great internet and working from PC and not tablet or anything like that.

Step 2 - Filter the best applicants based on their english, the way they invested into writing their application and based on their experience. Pick the top people for a Skype interview

Step 3 - Meeting face to face on Skype: In this step you can assess who is there on time for the meeting, how fast their internet is and if they work from a convenient working space, you can validate how good their english is and by asking questions about why they need the job you can see how dedicated they are.
The goal is to find people that need your job, that want to work and that also speak good english and have good internet and working space.

Step 4 - Testing: In this phase you want to see how good the VA is fulfilling orders. Do they make it on time? Do they understand the instructions?
How is the quality for their work?

You need to prepare training based on the job you want them to do,

Record a video showing them the task, (you can use useloom.com for recording your screen)
Write down the instructions and ask them to update their job into a CSV sheet so you can later check it out.

Step 5 - Choose your winner or winners

Here, we recommend hiring 1 or 2 Vas more
and let them work for few more days to see who is integrating better.
Once this is done, you can decide with which VA you would like to stay.

How to handle VA after the hiring?
Never give access to any important information or accounts
Track your VAs performance on daily base for e.g.
If the VA finds products, let him find the products into the CSV sheet first, double-check their results and later on keep track of the performance of the products and calculate the profit the products your VA listed generate and how much is the total monthly profit compare the monthly salary your VA gets.
