I was asked by a client if I could help her dog walker be more successful taking her dogs on simultaneous walks.

Luckily for me, Oliver the dog walker is a super cool, calm and open minded guy that was so easy to work with!

As for the dogs, Benny is a super excited little guy with a pretty high prey drive. He usually spends the entire walk pulling and lunging after squirrels.

Dizzy is a very laid back girl, but pulls because she’s not very in tune with the handler.

The trick is to work with each dog individually until they are in tune with the handler. The human is building more relevance with each dog. In other words, the walk becomes an activity that the dog does WITH the human, instead of the dog doing whatever they want and leading the entire way.

You can see what Oliver was able to achieve by the end of our short session!
