Route 66 (5.4) | Rock Climbing in Joshua Tree National Park

Описание к видео Route 66 (5.4) | Rock Climbing in Joshua Tree National Park

Route 66 (5.4) in Joshua Tree is an awesome route for the grade. It’s over 100 feet long, the crack is splitter most of the way, and the view is impressive. The scramble up to the base is a little involved, but the climb is worth it. Bring your 70M rope. You’ll need almost all of it for the rappel. Triples of hand and fist cams will make this route cruiser. However, if you’re comfortable running it out a bit more, doubles should suffice. There are lots of options for the belay. As of 11/22/2019, this route had a bolted rap anchor.

This area has a well-marked climbers’ trail. Avoid social trails and save the desert soil!
