➤ "Mute City" Theme request by Atozmos

Hey guys! This week we're revisiting an amazing piece of retro VGM known as Mute City from F-Zero!

This was an amazing project to work on because it is the first time in my career that I am completely re-making a cover that I have done in the past from the ground up including the arrangement!

I did Mute City a while back with my friend MaximumHamburgers who is a super kick ass drummer and a good friend of mine. We did a F-Zero medley with Mute City and Big Blue and we're super proud of how it turned out. For that one we deviated a lot from the original arrangement and really did our own thing with it.

So fast forward a few years later to now and It was time to give one of my favorite themes some 2017 love. However instead of doing a super interpretative version like the first one, this time I wanted to go straight up VGM metal and deliver it sounding like the theme we all know. I boxed myself inn pretty hard and kept it sounding retro and epic! However I did still throw in a solo and did a few rhythmic variations here and there. I can't help myself ;)

I had so much fun working on this and I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it! Thanks so much for listening!

➤ The original "Mute City" theme from the game "F-ZERO" was composed by Yumiko Kanki and Naoto Ishida
