West Coast Mainline Near Chapel Brampton 26.02.2012

Shots of the Northampton loop line of the West Coast Mainline on a quiet Sunday near Chapel Brampton on the 26th February 2012. Class 390 'Pendolino's', Class 350 Deirso Units and a Class 57 are seen in the liveries of Virgin Trains and London Midland Trains.

On the majority of Sundays the fast lines that pass Northampton are shut down for engineering purposes. This means that all mainline and fast services are routed through Northampton on the slow lines. This allowed for shots of 'Pendolino's' on the slow lines, something not normally seen during the week. 'Deirso' units appeared after midday as the mainline was opened.

The one working of note was Virgin Trains liveried Class 57 Thunderbird, No. 57308 'Tin Tin' heading south working 0A16 Oxley - London Euston. Also of note was Virgin 'Pendolino', No. 390054 wearing the Alstrom branding heading north.
