New Breed Archery GX2 Bow Review

Описание к видео New Breed Archery GX2 Bow Review

Watch as Partick Meitin reviews New Breed Archery’s GX2, a maneuverable, compact bow designed for hardcore bowhunters. This bow should be especially welcome in the tight confines of a treestand or inside a constricted pop-up blind. The GX2 has the new Bionix 2.5 Two Track Cam System with an 80 percent let-off which results in a hybrid cam system that delivers a smooth draw cycle while providing impressive performance. This bow uses dual limb padded limb-stops top and bottom to create a rock-solid wall for a consistent anchor point and repeatable accuracy shot to shot.

New Breed’s patented Bionix 2.5 Cam is an innovative modular system, allowing the draw length to adjust in half-inch increments. The bowstrings and buss cable do not need to be removed to change modules. Three base cam sizes combine with various modules to create draw lengths from 24.5 to 30.5 inches. Thanks to the Bionix 2.5, this compound is almost as smooth during let-down as during the draw cycle. The efficiency is further improved through its high-grade titanium cam hardware which is as strong or stronger than steel without the extra weight.

The GX2 features an advanced-radius and fluted riser that is milled from high-grade 6061-T6 aluminum. Fluting key surfaces removes excess weight while strengthening and stiffening those parts. This creates a rigid platform that does not flex or shimmy after release, thereby improving accuracy while noticeably reducing in-hand shock and riser vibrations. The grip is integral to the riser, flat-backed, comfortable and torque-free at full draw. It holds vibration- and sound-dampening BowJax-material in its rubber side plates. The solid New Breed two-piece limb pocket also sets the limb pivot points back and in line with this grip, producing a forgiving 7-inch brace height that ensures a forgiving nature and further accuracy.

The GX2’s premium Gordon Glass Split Limbs combined with the stiff, fluted riser and solid limb anchoring results in a bow that is inherently quiet. But New Breed did not stop there. The overall compound design includes a carbon-rod, BowJax-equipped string stop, and innovative Speed Sleeve cable-slide set on another slick carbon rod.

Overall, New Breed hit a homerun with the GX2, which promises to be a real bowhunter’s bow. This bow is very maneuverable and compact, but not so short to sacrifice forgiveness and shootability. This compound is also fast, but not so fast to prove fussy about tuning or when propelling fixed-blade broadheads. Along with speed and maneuverability, this bow is deadly silent.
