Pachgaon is an area surrounded by hilly beauty in Kalmakanda upazila bordering Netrakona district. Out of the 8 unions of Kalmakanda upazila, 3 unions are surrounded by hilly borders and those borders are a reservoir of natural beauty. Similarly, a border area named Panchgao is located in Rangchati Union. Many people say that Garo Hill starts from here. Locals on the other hand know it as Panchgao's hill or Kalmakanda hill. Although the original name of the dune area is Chandradinga Pahar after the sunken boat of the alleged Chand Saudagar. According to the locals, Chand Saudagar's boat sunk here hundreds of years ago. So the mountain looks somewhat nautical. And this is why its name is Chandradinga or Chandradingi.

This mound is located in the middle of the surrounding plains. Hajong and Garo tribes live at the foot of this hill. The hills are very beautiful and green. Wild elephants used to be seen here but are no more. However, according to the locals, elephants can still be seen on the side of India. There are some big and small animals in these dunes. These hills are connected with the Garo Hills.

On reaching Panchgao village, you can see the famous banyan tree, if you want, you can sit in its shade and take a drink. After climbing Panchgao hill, you will see several mini springs of small and medium size, there are some small streams, trails. As soon as you step on these streams, your fatigue is bound to disappear, such a cool, serene, comfortable environment.
