KPK government has announced a significant relief for its residents with a free solar system scheme for 100,000 households, aimed at mitigating the rising electricity prices. CM Ali Amin Gandapur's finance advisor, Muzzammil Aslam, revealed that each family will receive a 2-kilowatt solar system, including panels, batteries, inverters, and DC fans. Further details on the scheme and application process are yet to be announced.

In addition, the Punjab and Sindh governments have also launched solar schemes to help families struggling with high electricity bills. Punjab offers free solar systems to households using less than 200 units of electricity, with interest-free loans for those using more. Residents can apply by sending their CNIC and bill reference number to 8800. Sindh plans to provide a complete solar system for 7000 rupees to low-income families, with application details forthcoming.
