What Psychological Safety is Not

Описание к видео What Psychological Safety is Not

On June 25th, 2021 LeaderFactor hosted this Live Webinar on What #PsychologicalSafety is Not: How Organizations missed the mark.

Psychological safety is not about false harmony and superficial niceness. It’s not about being politically correct and coddling people who want to play victim. Nor is it about being soft, permissive, or indulgent.

What is it then? It’s about giving others respect and permission and then holding them accountable. It’s about appreciating and protecting differences, not trying to remove them. It’s about tackling tough issues with high intellectual friction and low social friction.

Psychological Safety is Not:
1. A Shield from Accountability
2. Niceness
3. Coddling
4. Unearned Autonomy
5. Consensus Decision Making
6. Political Correctness
7. Rhetorical Reassurance
