Elmer agrees to help Marshal Gunter by watching some prisoners for him while he's tracking down an outlaw. During this time, he loses his own customers for his blacksmith shop. Bill returns the favor by attempting to travel over one hundred miles away to collect Elmer's inheritance. Along the way, he encounters several hindrances that try to stand in his way.
