FTC Noncompetes Ban Is a Blow to a Wall Street Favorite

Employee noncompete agreements, a longtime fixture for Wall Street firms, have been thrown into question as the Federal Trade Commission moves to ban them and businesses led by the US Chamber of Commerce rush to preserve the arrangements, Ropes & Gray partner Douglas Brayley tells Bloomberg's Sonali Basak. Financial services companies, Brayley says, are among those with the most at stake in the fight.
