Achieving High Yield Soybeans While Protecting the Soil

Описание к видео Achieving High Yield Soybeans While Protecting the Soil

This presentation was recored at the 2024 Soybean Summit on February 1st in Champaign.

Chris Weaver is a sixth-generation farmer from Finksburg, MD. He farms with his parents, wife (Megan), and two kids. Their operation grows corn, soybeans, and rye for distilleries. Chris and his family pride themselves on innovating new ways to increase yield while protecting the soil and doing what is best for their land. They started pushing yields in 2010 and have
had great success achieving soybean yields of 158 bushels/acre on non-irrigated land. He has never been satisfied with the status quo in agriculture and refuses to accept there is anything farmers cannot achieve. Chris’ ultimate goal is to grow 200+ bushels of no-till non-irrigated soybeans.
