Now that I know how you're supposed to actually play Die Hard on the NES, uh yeah, there was no way I woulda ever beat this thing! The crazy part is that it stays fairly true to the movie, including all the main characters. The way enemies spray bullets make them a pain in the butt to dodge, so you can easily get game over from just a single terrorist.

Die Hard on the NES is a top-down action game inspired by the 1988 film. Players control John McClane as he navigates the floors of Nakatomi Plaza from an overhead perspective, exploring offices, corridors, and stairwells while battling the terrorist group led by Hans Gruber. The villains include Karl and Theo, along with Gruber’s heavily armed henchmen guarding each floor. McClane also encounters familiar characters from the movie such as Al Powell and Holly Gennero, while rescuing hostages taken during the takeover. Gameplay focuses on careful movement, shooting, and resource management, with limited ammunition and dangerous enemies creating constant tension.
