The Polyga H3 is a handheld 3D scanning device comparable to desktop units in terms of digitization quality and accuracy. The scanner is produced by the Canadian company Polyga, which specializes in the development and production of 3D scanners and dedicated software.

Based on structured light technology, the H3 is equipped with two cameras capturing data at 700 frames per second. The device is available in two versions, operating in monochrome and color mode.

The minimum size of the scanning area is 205x112 millimeters, while the maximum capture area is 455x252 millimeters. Point distance does not exceed five tenths of a millimeter, with overall accuracy reaching 80 microns and an acquisition speed of one and a half million points per second.

The captured digital data is processed using the FlexScan3D software, also used to generate the final three-dimensional models.

The Polyga H3 is designed primarily for manual digitizing. The low weight of the device — just over one kilogram — and ergonomics make it easy to wield and handle. If necessary, the 3D scanner can be installed on a tripod and work in conjunction with a turntable.

The manufacturer recommends using the H3 as a universal tool for scanning people, historical artifacts, art items, mechanical parts, and other objects ranging in size from ten centimeters to two meters.
