The legends of little people in the woods traverses cultures of all sorts. There’s the minehune from Hawaii, the Yunwi T’sundsi from Cherokee legend, the Puckwudgies that have become so famous thanks to the internet and today the Cree bring forward a new little person of folklore and legend.
The Minegishi are little people that live near rivers, rapids to be specific. The primary in which they reside is Canada such as north and west of Lake Superior, in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and the Northwest Territories. You’re not likely to see them unless you’re passing through their home near the rapids. And if today’s story is evidence of where they live, you may not even realize you’re passing by their home.
And for everyone out there that doesn’t like how it’s spelled… I’m just letting you know there are a LOT of ways this creatures name is spelled.
