🔍 What is IBD?
Inflammatory Bowel Disease primarily includes Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. While these conditions primarily affect the intestines, they can have widespread effects on various organs and systems in the body.

📋 Extra-Intestinal Manifestations:

Skin Disorders – Conditions such as erythema nodosum and pyoderma gangrenosum can occur, presenting as painful skin lesions.

Joint Pain and Arthritis – IBD can lead to peripheral arthritis or spondyloarthritis, causing joint pain and inflammation.

Eye Inflammation – Conditions like uveitis and episcleritis may arise, leading to eye redness, pain, and vision changes.

Liver and Biliary Complications – IBD patients are at risk for conditions such as primary sclerosing cholangitis, which can affect liver function.

Kidney Stones – Increased calcium oxalate absorption may lead to the formation of kidney stones in some patients.

Blood Disorders – Anemia is common in IBD due to chronic inflammation and nutrient malabsorption.

Thromboembolic Events – Patients may have an increased risk of blood clots due to the inflammatory state.
