About the professor: Mr Constantinos E. Avtzigiannis has graduated from the University of Macedonia (B.Sc in Business Administration) and has completed his postgraduate studies at the University of Wales (Postgraduate Diploma in Port & Shipping Administration) and at the University of Manchester (M.Sc in International Business Management). He posses numerous professional certifications from Classification Societies (Bureau Veritas, DNV – GL, LRS, NKK), USCG and University of Portsmouth. He has worked in Operations and Quality / Safety Departments of ship management companies and from early 1994 he is an independent consultant in Safety / Quality / Environmental Protection / Security Management / Maritime Labour in shipping and land industries, working also as DPA/ CSO/MLC Manager/Quality Manager.
