After transplanting chili seedlings, tobacco cutworm moths and snails often cause damage by chewing on the stems. To prevent this in advance, we apply JADAM Microbial Pesticide (JMP) directly to the soil where the seedlings are planted on the day of transplanting. (See video for details).
Since cutworms are active mostly at night and attack the stem base, it’s most effective to apply JMP before they emerge. A single larva can damage multiple plants in a short period of time, and when outbreaks occur, entire crops can be devastated.
Additionally, aphids tend to gather on the underside of chili leaves, so when spraying pesticides, it is important to spray not only from above, but also from below upward to cover the undersides properly. (See video for demonstration).
Another important point is that high spray pressure can cause the chili plants to fall or blow the leaves away, which presents even application of the pesticide. Be sure to adjust the pressure.
JMP is also highly effective for controlling soil-dwelling such as cutworms, snails, mole crickets, sow bugs, and white grubs.
고추 정식 후, 담배거세미나방 달팽이 등이 고추 모종의 줄기를 갉아먹으며 피해를 주는 경우가 많다. 이를 사전에 예방하기 위해, 정식 당일에 자닮 미생물농약 (JMP)을 모종이 심겨있는 토양에 바로 살포한다. (자세한 방법은 동영상 참고).
거세미나방은 주로 야간에 활동하여 줄기를 갉아먹는다. 한마리의 유충이 짧은 시간에 여러 식물에 피해를 줄 수 있고, 집단 발생 시 농작물이 초토화 될 수 있다. 담배거세미나방 유충의 피해를 입은 고추 모종은 마치 가위로 자른 것처럼 줄기가 깨끗하게 잘려 있다. 그러므로, 정식 한 직후 미리 JMP를 살포해 두는 것이 방제에 효과적이다.
또한, 고추는 잎 뒷면에 진딧물이 많이 생기므로, 농약 살포 시에는 위에서만이 아니라 아래에서 위로도 꼼꼼하게 분사해주어야 한다. (자세한 장면은 영상 참고).
JMP가 토양 속에 해충 방제에도 효과적이다. 거세미나방, 달팽이, 땅강아지, 쥐며느리, 굼뱅이 방제에 큰 도움이 된다..
