This moving video, by Mr. Brent Stapelkamp, internationally renowned lion researcher, who tracked Cecil the Lion and his pride, has been posted in connection with a historically important initiative to establish a United Nations WORLD HERITAGE SPECIES program and to list lions under its title. The dramatic decline in the number of lions world wide since our grandparents time from approximately 450,000 to only 20,000 today - and declining - is symbolic of the precipice before which we stand. The World Heritage Species initiative is a profound and historic call to action in that a lion listing under this newly estblished program will set a precedent for other threatened species to be listed. There is no better time to act for all our animals than now. The King is leading the way!

Join others in saying "YES" to this call at this propitious moment, when we are poised to improve the world in such profound way and when the world appears so ripe to receive the World Heritage Species message.
