The Ratnagiri oil refinery in collaboration with Saudi Aramco, will be largest in the world

With a capacity to process 1.2 million barrels of oil per day, the Ratnagiri oil refinery will equal that of Reliance at Jamnagar. India needs to double production from today's levels to be able to meet expected demand for petrol, diesel, jet fuel and LPG. While the Shiv Sena's opposition is more political, there is still a valid case to shift it to a more infertile area.Will this project also go the Jaitapur nuclear plant way; announced with great fan-fare in 2009, but nothing on the ground as yet!
