TRIMUI Smart Pro Stock OS Tips (Adding Games/Scraping Box Art/Improvements)

In this video, I'm sharing some tips on how to add games to the stock OS, improving the gaming experience/performance, and scraping box art (from PC) on my retro grey TRIMUI Smart Pro.

Adding games to the stock OS:
• Download the latest SD Base Package here: https://github.com/trimui/assets_smar...
• Extract the zip file to get the file structure
• Copy the file structure onto your micro-SD card
• Copy your game roms into the game systems (on your micro-SD card)
• Insert the micro-SD card (label facing up) into your device and your games will appear in the game systems in ‘Games’
• Go to Settings – System – Refresh Roms

Tips on improving gaming experience/performance settings:
• To allow better performance: keep the FN key on the right position, then go to ‘App’, ‘Fnkey setting’, and check the ‘CPU Performance Mode’ box
• To calibrate joysticks: Go to ‘System’ – ‘Calibrate Joystick’, follow the on-screen instructions
• Removing shaders/overlays (optional): Press the ‘menu’ button (bottom left) – Advanced Menu, once you are in RetroArch, go to ‘On-Screen Overlay’ and disable it, then go to ‘Shaders’ and disable ‘Video Shaders’, then go to ‘Overrides’ and ‘Save Core Overrides’

Scraping box art (from PC):
• To scrape box art: Download the ‘Skraper’ app on your PC, go to skraper.net, Download – Download for Windows on your PC, then run/start the app through the exe file, create an account/register at screenscraper.fr, Validate, Next, select ‘recalbox’
• In the ‘Games & Front-End’ section, make sure the path/folder is set to where your game roms are and the ‘Front-End’ is set to ‘recalbox’, at the bottom left section, you can add (clicking the plus icon) or remove (clicking on the minus icon) game systems
• In the ‘Game List’ section, make sure the box under ‘Gamelist Type’ is set to ‘no back up, create new or overwrite existing’, and the ‘Gamelist Full Path’ is set to the game system in the ‘Imgs’ folder of your micro-SD card (where you need to have the box art)
• In the ‘Media’ section, only one type of media/images work, so you can choose any image type you wish (you can delete the second media list by selecting it, and clicking on the ‘minus’ logo to the left), also, in the ‘Output’ folder, make sure to delete the word ‘media’, finally, click on the bottom right arrow to start scraping
• In case the scraped box art/images are saved in the game system in the ‘roms’ folder of your micro-SD card, simply cut and paste into the game system in the ‘Imgs’ folder of your micro-SD card (where you need to have the box art)
• Your daily scraping limit (on Skraper.net) is 20,000 files (you can see that in the ‘Requests’ section during the scraping process)
• For the box art scraping to work properly: Make sure they are in the right folder, have the same name as the rom, and are in PNG format, also ‘Refresh Roms’
• Important note: for the box art to show up on your device, you need to scrape only one media type/source, if you scrape more than one media type/source, they won’t show up on your device, also, only image media types will work, videos won’t
