Living frugally in Albania as foreigners and minimalists

We decided to stay in Albania for longer as it’s beautiful, affordable, and very welcoming. In this video, I’m showing you the apartment in the city of Shkodra and chatting about some of our frugal/survival rules that we’re following at the moment.

I also let myself rant a little about the sanctions’ impact on our family. Please don’t get me wrong – I do realize what awful things are happening in Ukraine (and I want the war to stop), I’m in a much more privileged position than so many poor people affected by the war but I still want to make clear how the war impacts Russians like me – ordinary, low-income, without any government protection or welfare, exposed to the actions of both opposing sides. Now, we’re living off our savings and I have no idea what will come. So please excuse me for the rant, I just needed to share that. Hope you understand 🌿
