وزير الدفاع يستلم مهام منصبه في مقر الوزارة

جرى في مقر وزارة الدفاع، صباح يوم السبت الموافق ٢٩ تشرين الأول ٢٠٢٢، مراسم استلام مهام وزارة الدفاع من قبل وزير الدفاع السيد ثابت محمد سعيد العباسي، بحضور السيد رئيس أركان الجيش، والسيد الأمين العام، والسيد أمين السر العام، وكبار القادة والضباط في الوزارة الذين كانوا في استقبال سيادته.
وأكد السيد الوزير على أن وزارة الدفاع من الوزارات السيادية المهمة وتقع على عاتقها مسؤولية كبيرة تتمثل بحفظ أمن الوطن وشعبه من أي اعتداء.
كما أشاد سيادته، بدور الجيش العراقي البطل والقوات المسلحة العراقية بدحر الإرهاب وتحقيق النصر على عصابات داعش الإرهابية، مؤكداً أننا سنسعى خلال مدة تولينا مهمة إدارة هذه المؤسسة العريقة الى الارتقاء بها بما يخدم العراق وشعبه الكريم.

The Minister of Defense assumes his responsibilities at Ministry headquarters.

The ceremony of handing over the duties of the Ministry of Defense to the new Minister of Defense, Mr. Thabet Muhammad Saeed Al Abbasi, took place at the Ministry of Defense's headquarters in the presence of the Army Chief of Staff and a number of senior officers of the Ministry.

The Minister of Defense, for his part, stated that the Ministry of Defense is one of the most important ministries and carries a great responsibility to protect the security of the country and its citizens from any threat.

His Excellency praised the role of the Iraqi army and the Iraqi armed forces in defeating terrorism and achieving victory over the terrorist gangs of ISIS.

Emphasizing that we will strive to improve this institution in order to enhance its capabilities.
