Maharashtra Police on alert over Amritpal Singh, Nanded in spotlight

After declaring Amritpal Singh a ‘fugitive’, Punjab Police issued lookout circular and non-bailable warrant against the Khalistani sympathizer. Meanwhile, speculations of Amritpal Singh being in Maharashtra’s Nanded continues to keep local police on their toes. Maharashtra Police issued an alert over Amritpal Singh in some districts including Nanded and is keeping a strict vigil on situation. Police said the movement of everyone arriving at and leaving Nanded is being monitored. Apart from local police deployment, Maharashtra Anti-Terror Squad is also on alert over possibility of Amritpal’s presence. While manhunt against pro-Khalistani radical leader entered day 6, he was spotted escaping Punjab on a motorbike. Earlier, several pictures of Amritpal Singh in different attires surfaced on various social media platforms.
