Описание к видео [4K] 🇨🇦 Трамваи Торонто | Все Линии

The Toronto Streetcars are the largest tram/streetcar system in North America. Covering 83km of track over 11 lines this system has been roaming the streets of Toronto since 1863. The age of the system makes for many peculiarities such as a high density of routes in the downtown core and uni-directional rolling stock. This makes it so that every terminus has to have a turning loop for the streetcars to turn around rather than a normal tram system where the driver just switches cabs. The rolling stock is made up of 204 Bombardier Flexity Outlook trams which have a mainly red and white livery matching the TTC logo. With the introduction of the system's first fleet of low-floor trams, all of the catenary had to be converted to be pantograph compatible. Since the trams entered service before this complete conversion they are all equipped with trolley poles to be able to operate on older infrastructure. The system is completely integrated with the buses and subway, requiring no additional cost to transfer between the transit modes. The PRESTO fare system is what allows this and it costs $3.25 CAD for a single ride which is valid for 2 hours on any TTC mode. Although Torontonians like to complain about the slow speeds of the streetcars, they still offer a much more efficient way to travel in downtown when compared to cars. Not all lines are integrated with traffic and still cost way less than a city parking spot. I fully recommend anyone in the city to use this iconic system as it also offers cool perspectives of the city as demonstrated in the video. Enjoy!
