The E3 Visa is a temporary visa program for the United States that allows citizens of Australia to come, live and work in the United States by working in a specialty occupation. In order to qualify for the E3 visa a US company must sponsor the employee from Australia for a position within the company that requires at least a bachelor's degree and specialized knowledge. The employee must possess at least a bachelor degree and highly specialized theoretical and practical knowledge in order to perform the job duties.

👉 The E3 visa is available to positions at the professional level such as teaching, health care, accounting, finance, It, engineering, science, mathematics, and others. However, the E3 visa is not available to fashion models of distinguished merit and ability and in the case of fashion models, they may be eligible to apply for an H1B visa.

The spouse of an E3 visa holder can apply for work authorization and have the unrestricted right to work in the United States once the work authorization is granted. However, children, unmarried and under the age of 21 will not be able to work in the US on an E3 dependent status.
