Vernon Hill is the Founder and Chairman of Metro Bank, the first high street bank to launch in the UK in over 100 years. Often credited with reinventing American banking, Vernon Hill is the former Chairman and President of Commerce Bank.

By applying this philosophy, he built Commerce bank into one of the largest banks in America with 15,000 team members, 500 branches (stores) and $50 billion of assets. It was purchased in July 2007 by TD Financial for $8.5 billion.

In 2007, Forbes magazine's annual 20/20/20 list shows Hill as the fourth highest performing public US listed company CEO over 20 years with a 23% compounded shareholder return.

His talk at London Business School is part of the 2013-2014 Tell Series talks and it was recorded on Wednesday, 18 Sep, 2013 at London Business School.
