How the new 2023 Ram 2500 Rebel is different from the Power Wagon (but it's still really similar)

The 2023 Ram 2500 Rebel is the newest member of the Ram heavy-duty family. In short, it sacrifices some of the Power Wagon's extreme off-roading capability in favor of some extreme heavy-duty truck capabilities. It has firmer springs than a Power Wagon, which makes for stronger towing. About 16,000 pounds versus about 10,000. The Power Wagon's softer springs, extra rear suspension joint and disconnecting sway front sway bar grant it greater wheel articulation off-road. Those are not on the Rebel, and neither is the front locker. The rear locker stays, though, along with the e-LSD and transfer case. It looks basically the same, too. Maybe the biggest difference, though, is the availability of the Cummins turbodiesel -- you can't get that on the Power Wagon. That only comes with the 6.4-liter gas V8 that still comes standard on the Rebel.
