"Growing Homes" - Hemp Farming in Margaret River

Learn about our Industrial Hemp Farming operation in the picturesque Margaret River. From the hurd and fibre of this 1 single crop, it has the potential to build 10 full houses, along with endless byproducts.

We have come a long way from our first harvest (when Gary had to pluck each plant by hand!) thanks largely to our purpose build harvesting machine.

Hemp crops have many benefits to the farmer, in particular for rotational farming as it can be 100% organic, meaning there are no nasty chemicals left behind in the soil and even returns nitrogen back into the soil!

Then we have the wave of environmental benefits that come from hemp farming, like removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through a process called carbon sequestration.

We often get asked "How much CO2 does an acre of hemp sequester?" and estimates range, but studies show it could be higher than 250 tons per acre!
