ARISE believes in creating equitable research partnerships with communities living and working in urban informal settlements. We aim to co-produce knowledge for change in relation to health and wellbeing. That’s why we are using a Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) approach. It explains how this research approach is different, and centered on the priorities identified by communities, not researchers.
