Bored Singing Ep. 4!!!!

Last night had I had the most amazing opportunity to attend the 25th anniversary screening of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. While that may not sound like it has anything to do with Sondheim’s masterpiece Sweeney Todd, there is one HUGE connection between the two…..the legendary icon Angela Lansbury!

I was privileged enough to sit in the room with this amazing performer watching a movie and role she made historic. Not only that, but before the screening began there was a panel (including most of the main roles animators and voice actors) where they all told the amazing story of Ms. Lansbury's flight being delayed due to a bomb threat and yet she still showed up at the recording studio to record “Beauty and the Beast” AND did it in only one take!!!!!!!!

So today I present my little tribute to Angela Lansbury by way of “Not While I’m Around” from Sweeney Todd……and I only allowed myself one take. Thank you Ms. Lansbury and I hope you all enjoy this episode of Bored Singing!
