Initiating a connection in HDLC communication, the AARQ and AARE sections

Описание к видео Initiating a connection in HDLC communication, the AARQ and AARE sections

In this Video I will be covering the basics of AARQ and AARE packets in HDLC communications. The association request and responses are the crucial parts in initiating a connection.
The AARQ (Association Request) packet is a crucial part of the DLMS communication process. It’s like the friendly handshake that happens when two devices—say, a smart meter and a monitoring platform—want to start chatting and the AARE (Association Response) packet is a critical component in the association establishment process in various communication protocols, particularly in metering systems. The AARE packet is sent by the server (or called application) in response to an AARQ (Association Request) packet sent by the client (or calling application).
