Dr. NavNirat Nibber is a Naturopathic Doctor and works as a Medical Advisor and Content Creator at Advanced Orthomolecular Research (AOR). Dr. Nibber grew up in the world of complementary and alternative health care and natural supplements. After completing her bachelor’s degree in Biology and Microbiology at the University of Victoria, Dr. Nibber moved to Toronto to complete the four-year-long naturopathic degree at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.

A recent federal bill was passed in Canada that may drastically change the landscape of natural health products in Canada. This not only will affect manufacturers, but retailers, and ultimately, consumers as well. Millions of Canadians, myself included, regularly use natural health products, and so this is a concern for many, many people.

Dr. Nibber and I discussed the proposed changes, and what it means for Canadians. We also discussed the landscape of natural health products both in Canada and abroad, and how that might change. We spoke about the pros and cons of this, and I felt it was a very balanced conversation. Lastly, we spoke about what you can do to speak up, get involved, and have your voice heard.
