The latest satellite imagery, along with a new microwave pass, strongly suggests that Lee is now considered a Major hurricane with winds from ADT to be estimated at 110 kts and therefore, that will be the intensity for this advisory.

The environment really looks extremely favorable for further explosive intensification through the next 36-48 hours, and it's now possible, given how consistent the HAFS-A & HAFS-B hurricane model has been. My new intensity forecast called for Lee to reach category 5 by late tonight and peak in intensity Friday light with winds 165 mph.
