BMP in Reunified Germany | BMP-1A1 Ost

The BMP-1A1 Ost was an upgrade program for the BMP-1, which was run on around 580 vehicles in Germany following the reunification. The main goal was to make the vehicle operable and better fit to Western standards. Though the BMP-1 would have a short service life in reunified Germany, many vehicles, including some which went through the upgrade, would be exported to other European states, some which still use them to this day.
