Bhupendra Patel Oath Ceremony: After the Gujarat BJP Legislature Party unanimously elected Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel as its leader, the chief minister was sworn in for the second stint today in Gujarat's Gandhinagar. The oath-taking ceremony will be attended by prominent BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and chief ministers of other BJP-ruled states will be attending the ceremony.

The BJP registered a record-smashing victory in the Gujarat Assembly elections, bagging 156 seats of the state’s 182 assembly seats — a record in its own right. The previous record was for 149 seats in 1985 when the Indian National Congress under Madhav Singh Solanki won the Assembly.
